In collaboration with the Center For the Arts at Wesleyan University, The Davis Sisters bring their unique brand of dance, theater, and comedy virtually to Wesleyan with "A Winter Wednesday at Wesleyan" a continuation of their digital variety show, Summer Sunday with the Sisters. The episode will feature reflections on life, work, and artistic practice during COVID-19 with their fellow artists from last year's New England Dance on Tour: Scapegoat Garden's Deborah Goffe; Subject:Matter's Ian Berg; and Wesleyan new Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, Nicole Stanton; as well as Wesleyan's own Hari Krishnan (Chair of Dance Department), Tamara Rivera '21, and Suzanne Sadler (Technical Director/Manager of Center for the Arts Theater, and Master Electrician for the Theater). Winter Wednesday is a celebration the resilience of the New England Dance and the Wesleyan community during the pandemic.
ZINE ISSUE 05:
from 10.00
Guest Curated by Curtis Thomas, the artists in these pages offer generous reflections, proclamations, whispers, and balms. Opportunities to fall into questions, and to examine our own personal geographies of community, pain, and clearing. These works reveal the ways in which we come together and the anchoring we take in the people who surround us physically and emotionally. In this time of reckoning, questioning and sorrow these artists have offered ways of weathering, of seeing, of coping, and of loving.
